W., JR. Mr. J. W. "Dub" Meyers Jr., 70 years old of Loranger, Louisiana, died June 26, 2010, at his residence. He was born on August 30, 1939, in New Orleans, son of Gertrude Chadwick Meyers and the late Wilson Meyers Sr. A retired contractor who took pride in his profession, he appreciated hard work and attention to detail--a testament to a by-gone era of old-school craftsmanship. He proudly served the St. Tammany Parish area for over 40 years. After retirement he spent most of his time with his faithful companion, Cookie, by his side. They enjoyed the company of family and friends, working in the gardens, and watching wildlife.
