She was born on Wednesday, May 14, 1919, in Napoleonville, Louisiana, daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Paretta Ditta. She was a strawberry farmer until age 83 and was the Strawberry Ambassador for the State of Louisiana under 5 governors. She was well known for her delicious Italian culinary delights. During her lifetime she received numerous awards and recognition for her farming, cooking, and service to others. Of all things she gave to others with great charity and love. In her standard for perfection she taught others to strive for the same.
