He was born Saturday, January 20, 1917, in New Orleans, son of the late John and Mary Latino Milazzo. He worked as an equipment operator for the Louisiana Department of Highways for over 30 years. Surviving are two sons, John Milazzo, Frank Milazzo Jr.; daughter, Dolly Hano; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; four brothers, Tony, Henry, Louis, and Joe Milazzo; two sisters, Francis Milazzo and Margaret Lottinger. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pansy Freeman Milazzo and his brother, Joe Milazzo. Friends will be received Friday, November 3, 2006, at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Saturday, November 4, 2006, from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Services will be held at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Saturday, November 4, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Rose Memorial Park Cemetery in Hammond. She was 55, born in Marksville. Karen is survived by her beloved husband, Tony Milazzo; two sons and their wives, Kyle and Jennifer Milazzo and Matt and Brandy Milazzo, all of Prairieville; four grandchildren, Vincent, Anthony and Alex Milazzo and Marshall Heltz; a stepgrandchild, Haileigh Pendarvis; mother, Lois Poret George, Lutcher; two sisters and their husbands, Juanita and Melvin Duhe, Lutcher, and Robin and Rory Growl, LaPlace; a brother and his wife, Tommy and Tracy George, Lutcher; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Philip Milazzo, Douglas and Sandra Milazzo, Ronald and Delores Blanchard and Dale and Annie Aucoin, all of Labadieville, Jimmy and Donna Milazzo, Baton Rouge, Daniel and Betty Falcon, Donaldsonville, Michelle Milazzo, Hammond, and Clara Yates, Kosiciskio, Miss. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and beloved friends, especially Shelly Duhe, whom she loved as a daughter. Preceded in death by her father, Chalmus M. George; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tony and Aldonia Milazzo; sister-in-law, Vivian Milazzo; and brother-in-law, Billy Yates. Karen was a retired office manager of St. James Parish Health Unit. Visitation was at Rose Lynn Funeral Home, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2004, Visitation will be at the funeral home from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2004. Funeral service will be led by the Rev. Frank Uter at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2130 Rectory St., Paulina. She was born Friday, December 5, 1919, in Tickfaw, daughter of the late Sam Perise and Gilorma Italiano. Surviving are her husband, Henry Milazzo; and sister, Jennie Perise Alfano. She was preceded in death by brothers, Tony, Mike, and Vincent Perise; and sisters, Mary Ann Perise Ferina, Josephine Perise Lorio, and Marie Perise Dattalo. Friends will be received at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church in Tickfaw, on Sunday, February 11, 2007, from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. and on Monday after 8:30 a.m. until services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon with Fr. Cayett Mangiaracina, O. P., Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Colonial Mausoleum, Independence.
