Emile James Miller Jr., a native of Mandeville, died at his home in Baton Rouge on Monday, July 18, 2005. Mr. Miller, 68, was a truck driver for MCH Transportation in Jackson, Miss., for 13 years. He was the husband of Carol Wilson Miller and father of Debra Sharp and Sadie Wilson, both of Loranger, Brenda Brooks of Covington, Tricia Ann Harris of Prairieville, Emile James Miller III of Hammond, Julius Miller of Covington, Michael Miller of Lacombe, and Larry Joseph Vicari of Christianburg, Va. He also is survived by 26 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Marietta Cooper of Slidell, son of the late Emile Miller and Marie Galloway Miller, and great-grandfather of the late Heather Nicole Robinson. He also is survived by his very special friend, his Dachshund, Maggie. He loved driving his 18-wheeler. Special thanks to all the nurses, aides and sitters on the fourth floor at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City, Lifesource Hospice and Dr. Jed Morris and his nurse, Monuce. He had previously resided in Houston and Livingston before coming to Belton in 2009. Alvin was preceded in death by his parents.
