She is survived by six daughters, Beverly Stiglets of Robert, Winnie Bonvillain of Gretna, Jean Plamann of Pumpkin Center, Jessie Mills of Mahned, Miss., Faye Kendrick of Poplarville, Miss., and Sue Roby of Hammond; 22 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Guillory and Marie LeBlanc Guillory; her husband, Leo Millet; two sons, Buddy Benoit and Frankie Misenhelter; one sister, Anna Clift; and three brothers, Paul, Morris and Allen Guillory. Visitation will be Saturday at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 9 a.m. until the funeral at noon. Burial will be at Rose Memorial Cemetery. ************************************************************************* Obituary published in The Advocate (Baton Rouge): 10/1/2008 MILLET, KENNETH "DOC" A resident of Loranger, Doc passed away on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. He was 47 and a native of LaPlace. He began his career as a junior member of the LaPlace Fire Department and later volunteered with 8th Ward Fire Department in Robert. Doc was a former employee of Payne and Keller and of Bayou Steel Corp. He was employed with Shell Norco, GO-1 unit, for the past 18 years, where he also served as a firefighter and member of the emergency responder team. Doc is survived by his wife of 27 years, Dawn Matherne Millet; and three daughters, Brynn, Blaire and Bryanne Millet. He is also survived by his mother, Carolyn Hagg Millet; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Karen Millet and Mark and Casey Millet; sisters and brother-in-law, Sharon and Kent Miano, and Kathy Perret; mother-in-law, Emily V. Matherne; father-in-law and his wife, Gary Matherne and Marie. Doc also leaves behind 12 adoring nieces and nephews and a great-nephew. Preceded in death by his father, Gilbert "Boe" Millet; and maternal grandmother, Lillian "Yan" Hagg. Mr. Lionel J. "LJ" Millet, 76 years old of Hammond, LA, died Sunday, May 15, 2011, at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Dolores Perilloux Millet. He was born on Sunday, June 3, 1934, in Ponchatoula, and was a resident of Hammond. Mr. Millet was a businessman, builder and developer for many years and will be greatly missed. He is the son of the late Lionel and Buford May Daughty Millet, brother of Carol Barton, Greg Millet and the late M. Paul Millet and Frances Hoover.
