Isaac A. Minton, Sr., 72, native and lifelong resident of Livingston parish, died at home in Doyle 11 March. Interment in family cemetery near Walker. Survived by three brothers, Dr. J. Allen Minton and Fred Minton of Denham Springs, Calvin J. Minton of Baton Rouge; four sisters, Mrs. John Ellis and Mrs. Herbert Babin of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Annie Tucker and Mrs. Troy Roberts of Denham Springs; three sons, Johnnie Minton of Walker, Isaac A. Minton, Jr. and Nelson Minton of Doyle; seven daughters, Mrs. Guy E. Peak, Mrs. Henry M. Peak and Mrs. Thomas M. Peak of Walker, Mrs. Henry Lalumandier and Mrs. A. Spires of Baton Rouge, Mrs. J. C. McGowan of Memphis, TN, Miss Winnie Minton of Doyle; 25 grandchildren and 6 great, grandchildren. *************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Advocate (Baton Rouge): 1/2/2009 MINTON, LUCILLE BERNICE BRUNNER A retired Sears credit employee, she died at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, at Ochsner Medical Center-Baton Rouge. She was 85. She was born in Quincy, Ill., grew up in Ponchatoula and lived most of her adult life in Denham Springs. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church, Denham Springs, and served for years as a Livingston Parish elections commissioner. She enjoyed flowers, her bluebirds and hummingbirds, crocheting and other crafts, and rooting for the LSU football and baseball teams. She followed the Tigers to the College World Series several times after she retired. Visitation at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Friday from 9 a.m. until the funeral service at noon. Burial in Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, James E. Minton and William E. and Patricia Minton, Denham Springs; six grandchildren, James A. Minton, Oakland, Calif., Matthew Minton and wife Monica, Greg Minton and wife Betsy, all of Denham Springs, Gina Biglane, Sterlington, James Eric Haley and wife Andrea, Viola, Ill., and Melissa Haley West, Grinnell, Iowa; eight great-grandchildren, Max, Mason and Lathan Minton, all of Denham Springs, Kara and Nolan West, Grinnell, Marley and Laila Haley, Viola, and Connor Biglane, Sterlington; three sisters, Betty Vining, Bedico, Ann Temple, Hammond, and Frances Gilbert, Omaha, Neb.; two brothers, Charles Brunner, Brusly, and Bill Brunner, Houston; and more than 40 nieces and nephews, including special angels Barb Boynton, Omaha, Gwen Broadway, Houston, Laverne Bardwell, Robert, and Shirley Stanga, Ponchatoula. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe E. Minton; a daughter, Dorothy Minton Haley; two granddaughters, Kara and Lindy Haley; parents, William W. and Emma Nober Brunner; two sisters, Jeannette Stanga and Sybil Bardwell; and two brothers, Albert and Tommy Brunner.
