Amite - Bolivar K. Mobley, 56, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2002, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. He is survived by one son, Christopher Mobley of Amite; three daughters, Tondra Vernon, Sandra Mobley and Rosalyn Mobley, all of Amite; five sisters, Thelma Nedd of Paradis, Elouise Sims of Roseland, Royal Ella, Myrtle Mobley and Martha Major, all of Amite; seven brothers, Johnny and Justin Mobley, both of Independence, Harry Eli Mobley of Fluker, Glen E. and Willie Mobley, both of Baton Rouge, Andrew Mobley of Monroe, Ga., and Ned Mobley of Deridder; four grandchildren and three step- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Sr. and Onetia Moore Mobley; and one sister, Olivette Simmons. Visitation will be Thursday at Richardson Funeral Home, Amite, from 5 to 9 p.m. The Rev. Frank Davis will conduct the funeral Friday at Little Bethel Baptist Church, Amite, at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Fluker Community Center. *************************************************************************** bituary published in The Advocate (Baton Rouge) on: 8/2/2012 MOBLEY, EUNICE BORIACK Eunice B. Mobley passed away at her home Monday, July 30, 2012. She was born in Elberta, Alabama, on October 19, 1928, and grew up in Ponchatoula, LA. She attended Ponchatoula High School where she played on the Basketball Team and was co-Valedictorian of her class. She was active in the Lutheran Church where her father was the minister. After graduating from high school, she moved to Baton Rouge and graduated from Spencer Business College. She was married in 1951 at First Lutheran Church in Baton Rouge and was a founding member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Baton Rouge. She enjoyed fishing and watching LSU sports. In her later years, she enjoyed working in her garden and tending to her chickens. Visitation will be at Trinity Lutheran Church, 10925 Florida Blvd., on Thursday, August 2, from 6:00pm until 9:00pm. Visitation will resume on Friday, August 3, 2012 at 9:00am until the service at 10:30am, conducted by Rev. Dave Buss. Interment will be in Port Hudson National Cemetery following the service. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William (Bill) Howard Mobley, Sr. having been married for 58 years and her daughter, Phyllis Ann Tattersall and her parents, Louis G. and Lena M. Boriack. She is survived by her two sons, William (Billy) H. Mobley, Jr. and his spouse, Joyce, James (Jimmy) R. Mobley, two granddaughters, Allison Mobley and Katherine Tattersall, two sisters, Irene Meyer and spouse Earl and Renata Burkum, two brothers, Winfred (Win) Boriack and Norman Boriack and spouse Marsha. Pallbearers will be Don Hill, Dax Fontaine, Rufus Boyd, Charles Rathgeber, John Foti and Bill Coats. She was a very kind, compassionate person and a wonderful mother and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
