Albany - Gregory George Mocsary Sr., 82, died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000, at North Oaks Medical Center. He was a native of Albany. Survivors include his wife, Josephine Galladora Mocsary, Albany; five daughters, Mary Mocsary, Hammond, Cecelia Roberts, Silsbee, Texas, Marleen Chote, Houston, Patrice Staton, Baton Rouge, Virginia "Gina" Mocsary, Albany; son, Gregory George Mocsary Jr., Munich, Germany; sister, Mary Pauli, Albany; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Three sisters, Katie Sziber, Margaret Mocsary and Ethel Koleszar; and a brother, Louis Mocsary, preceded him in death. Visitation will be at Geisler Funeral Home, Albany, Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 8 until 10:15 a.m. Monsignor Leo Guillot will conduct the funeral at 10:30 a.m. at St. Margaret Catholic Church, Albany, and burial will be in the church cemetery. *************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Hammond Daily Star on: 6/29/2006 MOCSARY, JOSEPHINE GALLADORA Albany - Josephine Galladora Mocsary, age 82, a native of Tickfaw and resident of Albany, Louisiana, for the last 60 years died June 25, 2006. Visitation was at Geisler Funeral Home, Albany, on Wednesday, June 28, 2006, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The funeral home was open at 9:00 a.m. on today, June 29, 2006, with burial services following at 11:00 a.m. at St. Margaret's Catholic Church. Our beloved mother, Josephine, is survived by her six children, Mary Mocsary Button of Hammond, Cecelia Roberts of Silsbee, Texas; Marleen Mocsary of Houston, Texas; Patrice Staton of Baton Rouge; Gregory George Mocsary Jr. of Munich, Germany, and Virginia "Gina" Mocsary of Albany. She had 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is survived by one brother, John Galladora of Payson, Arizona, and her sisters-in-law, Helen Galladora, Angie Galladora, Jenny Galladora and Mary Pauli. She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Gregory George Mocsary Sr.; her parents, Samuel Galladora and Virginia Pisciotta Galladora; three brothers, Joe Galladora, Fred Galladora, Alex Galladora, and two sisters, Frances Winslow and Antoinette Marshall. She also leaves many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. Josephine was a lifelong member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church. She served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years and a volunteer at North Oaks Hospital. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion Post Number 258 Auxiliary of Springfield. She retired at the age of 80 from Teens and Queens Boutique after many rewarding years of service. "Josie" touched the lives of so many relatives, friends and others. She will be greatly missed by all. Friends and relatives are invited to join in a celebration of her life immediately following the service at St. Margaret's Parish Hall. ***************************************************************************
