She was 89 and a native of Hammond. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday. Religious services at the funeral home at 9 a.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Maurice R. Brandel. Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery, Hammond. Survived by her husband, Ervin Monson, Baker; a son, Reacey "R.B." Carney; three daughters and sons-in-law, Marian and LaVell Reynolds, Barbara "Bunny" C. and Michael Mix and Ollie G. and Michael Dole, Houston; nine grandchildren, Larry Reynolds, Morgan City, Gina Hair Gafford, Trophy Club, Texas, Connie Hair, Washington, D.C., Mark S. Creech, Frank "Foxey" Gibbs III, Amber G. Cloberdants, Houston, Ryan "Rowdy" Gibbs, Dallas, Stacy C. Antie and Chad R. Carney; and eight great-grandchildren, Cindy Reynolds, Sterling and Charlie Gafford, Macey, Madison and Mackenzie Cloberdants, Cody Gibbs and Brittany Antie. Preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Cynthia Bernard; husband, Reacey I. Carney; a daughter, Patsy Nell Carney; and two grandchildren, Barbara Jean Stafford and Mark Dewayne Reynolds.
