She was 88, born March 19, 1918, in Livonia, to the late Elie and Etna Debellevue Guidroz. She graduated from Livonia High School, Dominican Normal School in New Orleans and received a degree in education from LSU in Baton Rouge. In 1938, she was united in marriage to the late Marvin "Red" Morgan. A lifelong resident of Livonia, she served as librarian at Livonia High School and was one of the original members of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church parish in Livonia. Her devout faith and service to her church parish included more than 60 years of singing in the church choir. Dot is survived by a sister, Nelma G. LeBlanc of Ponchatoula; two sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen L. Morgan and Mary Buriege Morgan of Livonia, and Paul D. Morgan and Mary Hanks Morgan of Carenco; and a daughter, Dianne Morgan Touchet of Lafayette. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Chris Touchet, Aimee T. Hamilton, Beth Touchet, Tim Morgan, Hillary Morgan, Dawn M. Arceneaux, Paula M. Breaux, Kristie M. Langlois and Michael Morgan; 20 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends. For years, she participated in Livonia Mardi Gras, was honored as Grand Marshal and truly enjoyed the annual festivities in her hometown.
