A retired longshoreman and farmer and a resident and native of Hammond, he died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1998, at his residence. He was 84. Visiting was at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday. Visiting at the funeral home from 8 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. Friday. Religious services at Holy Ghost Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Friday, conducted by a Dominican priest. Entombment in Rose Memorial Mausoleum. Survived by wife, Velma Mixon Moschitto, Hammond; two daughters, Frances Dorsa, Hammond, and Marcia Easley, Baton Rouge; three sons, Johnny Moschitto Jr., Covington, Benny Moschitto and Anthony Moschitto, both of Hammond; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Tony and Frances Moschitto; four sisters, Emma Macaluso, Mary Catanese, Katie Randazzo and Teresa Moschitto Lanza; and three brothers, Benny, Joe and Tom Moschitto. ***************************************************************************
