He had formerly lived in Loranger a number of years ago. *************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Advocate (Baton Rouge) on: 1/8/1999 MOSHER, JAMES GORDON A retired farmer and a resident and native of Loranger, he died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999, at Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center, Independence. He was 68. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Visiting at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and after 8 a.m. Saturday. Religious services at the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Saturday. Interment in Loranger Community Cemetery. Survived by wife, Virginia Carrier Mosher, Loranger; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gordon and Laurie Mosher and Delbert and Therese Mosher, all of Loranger; grandchildren, Mitchell Mosher, Megan Mosher and Caitlyn Mosher, all of Loranger; two sisters, Eloise Cranke, Des Moines, Iowa, and Gayle Carrier, Loranger; a brother, Lorance Mosher, North Little Rock, Ark.; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and a host of friends. Preceded in death by parents, James A. and Eloise Cook Mosher; and a grandson, Andrew Nolan Mosher. He was a historian of First United Methodist Church, Loranger, and co-author of the book, "Footsteps in Loranger."
