She was born on May 1, 1931 in Ponchatoula, daughter of the late James and Carrie Boyd Murry. Surviving are her husband of 56 years, James D. Motichek, Sr.; son and daughter-in-law, James and Rosemary Rivera Motichek, Jr.; daughter, Susan Motichek Craddock; 7 grandchildren, Mark E. Motichek, Christine Boyer, Peter Donohue, Phillip Brandon and Kevin Rohner, and Joey and David Craddock; 3 great-grand- children, Merrik Motichek, Anna Gaspard, and Derrick Emmitt Smith; and 2 brothers, John and Robert Murry. She is preceded in death by ; 3 brothers, Raymond, B.W. ,and James Murry, and 3 sisters, Nellie Howard, Minnie and Maggie Murry. Friends will be received Monday, September 24, 2007 at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula from 6 pm til 9 pm, and after 8 am on Tuesday until 10 am. Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at 10:30 am with Rev. Justin R. Kauchak, O.P. officiating. Interment will follow in the Ponchatoula Cemetery. James David Motichek Jr., 60 years old of Ponchatoula, La., passed away, Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital, after a 10 year battle with lung cancer. He was born on Friday, Sept. 12, 1952, in Hammond, La., son of the late James David Motichek Sr. and the late Carrie Murray Motichek. James was a 8 year veteran of the United States Navy in the Submarine Division and the owner/operator of Auto Image of Hammond. Surviving are wife, Rosemary Motichek, son, Mark Motichek and wife Heather, daughter, Christine Donohue, son, Peter Donohue and wife Melissa, granddaughter, Merrik Motichek, grandson, Jakob Donohue. He is preceded in death by his parents and numerous members of the Motichek and Murray families. Friends will be received Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Ponchatoula.
