He was 92, son of the late Charles and A. Louise Liebert Moulliet. He is survived by his sister, Marilyn J. Moulliet; sister-in-law, Doris T. Moulliet; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Vera and Percy Butcher; brother, Victor L. Moulliet; and a close friend and working partner, Ray Poche. Charlie was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for more than 65 years. He was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran with memberships in the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a charter member of Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity of SLU as well a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church and their associated Knights of Columbus Council. Charlie enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. His family would like to thank the staff of Belle Maison Nursing Home for their care and attention he received while a resident there for the past three years. They would also like to thank Vital Hospice who assisted in his care more recently. Friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, on Thursday, Feb. 26, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Friday at 10 a.m. Interment in Ponchatoula Cemetery. She was born in Fall River, MA on February 16, 1923 and lived in Ponchatoula, LA, Metairie, LA and Gainesville, GA over the last 65 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Victor Liebert Moulliet and her parents, John U. Traviss and Edna C. Foley; and son-in-law John H. Murphy & daughter-in-law Judith W. Moulliet. She had been a member of the Golden Age Club, Ladiesı Altar Society, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, past President of AARPıs Ponchatoula chapter, ESA philanthropic sorority-Beta Alpha Chapter, Newcomerıs Club and Carnival Clubıs of Diana & Rhea and a founding member of Fil et Deı. She designed the pin for the Louisiana KC Ladiesı Auxiliary as well as the crest of the Carnival Krewe of Atlas, Metairie, LA. She was the 1st queen of the Atlas Carnival Club. Survivors include children Donna M. Loustaunau- Natchitoches, LA; Karen L. Moulliet & Elizabeth Murphy - Gainesville, GA; John C. Moulliet - Marrero, LA; Victor J. Moulliet - Gretna, LA; and Joan M. Arretteig - Mandeville; sister Alberta Beggs S. Yarmouth, MA; 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great- granddaughter: cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received on Wednesday June 16, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home In Ponchatoula, LA. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday 10:00 a.m. at St Joseph Catholic Church in Ponchatoula. Born in Kinder, Moulliet has lived in Port Sulphur, Belle Chasse and most recently in Gretna for more than 21 years. She was an employee of Superior Energy Services Inc. in Harvey. She is survived by her husband, Victor J. Moulliet; a daughter, Meagan L. Moulliet; a son, Victor A. Moulliet; a brother, Wesley Walker; parents Geniece Bradley and Mackey R. Walker; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at the Chapel of Mothe Funeral Home in Marrero, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., from 6 to 10 p.m. Monday and 7 to 9 a.m. Tuesday until the start of a funeral service. A committal service will be held at noon Tuesday at St. Joseph Cemetery in Ponchatoula. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Archbishop Hannah High School in Meraux.
