Charles Lee Munsell, 80, of Magnolia, Miss., and formerly of Amite, died on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006, at McComb Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, McComb, Miss. He was born Dec. 31, 1925, in Arlington, Ky. He was the son of Charlie Roy Munsell and Dora Trafford Munsell. He was a retired telegrapher with lllinois Central Railroad and worked for Mosler Safe Company. He was also a retired self-employed truck driver. He was a member of Montpelier United Methodist Church in Montpelier and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. His family referred to Mr. Munsell as a loving husband, father and grandfather who cared deeply for his family. He loved the outdoors and loved fishing and golf. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Barbara Jean Muscovalley Munsell; second wife, Para Belle Dykes Munsell, who died in April of this year; brother, William Orville Munsell; and two sisters, Mary Case and Anna Munsell. He is survived by five children and their spouses, Steve and Luan Munsell of Denham Springs, Judy and Twig Webb of Magnolia, Gene and Glenda Sharkey of McComb, Tim and Elsie Sharkey of Kentwood, and Henry L. Cox of Amite; sister, Martha Jackson of Paducah, Ky.; 15 grandchildren, Lacey Roebuck, Nathan Munsell and Jordan Webb, all of Denham Springs, Russ Munsell and wife Misty of Watson, Shawn Mulkey and wife Elizabeth of Shawnee, Kan., and Michael Mulkey of Baton Rouge, Danny Sharkey and wife Kylie, Jessica Venable and husband Daniel, Taylor Sharkey and Haileigh Sharkey, all of Kentwood, Becky Bowlin and Katie Bowlin, both of McComb, Casey Bowlin and wife Kim of Long Beach, Miss., Roger Cox of Pine Grove, and Farrell Cox of Jacksonville, Fla.; three great-grandchildren, Hayden Rowland of Denham Springs, and Zöe and Ian Mulkey of Shawnee; and numerous stepgreat-grandchildren. Visitation at Jones Family Funeral Services in McComb on Tuesday, Dec. 19, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from noon until service at 1 p.m., with Mr. Munsell's son, Steve, officiating. Burial will be in Sharkey cemetery in Amite. She was the daughter of the late Austin H. Dykes and Octavia Watts Dykes. She was a homemaker and for many years worked at Kellwood in Liberty, Miss. She was a member of Montpelier United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Charles Munsell of Amite; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Gene and Glenda Sharkey of McComb, Miss., Tim and Elsie Sharkey of Kentwood, Henry L. Cox of Amite and Steve and Luan Munsell of Denham Springs; a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Twig Webb of Magnolia; 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and numerous friends and caretakers. Visitation will be Sunday, April 30, at Montpelier United Methodist Church, Montpelier, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Monday from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., the Rev. Rand Guy and the Rev. Lewis M. Morris Jr. officiating. Burial in Sharkey Cemetery in Amite. Memorials may be made to St. Helena Parish Nursing Home Resident Care Fund, 32 N.
