She was 89, born in Hammond and lived in Baton Rouge since the 1920s. Visiting at First United Methodist Church, 8:30 a.m. Monday until memorial services at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Chris Andrews. Survived by her daughter, Juliana Musselwhite Roberts and a son-in-law, Frank Ford Roberts Jr.; two grandchildren, Julie Caroline Roberts Galiano and her husband, Nicky Galiano and Frank Ford Roberts III; and a great-grandson, Mason Reed Galiano, all of Mandeville; 11 nieces and nephews; 12 great-nieces and nephews; and four great-great-nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Lawson Augustus Lard Sr. and Annie Gayle Lard; and a brother, Lawson Augustus Lard Jr.; and three sisters, Johnnie Lard Tanner, Billie Lard LaCour and Clemanti Lard Ward. Honorary pallbearers are Frank Ford Roberts III, Sam LaCour, Lew Ward, Lawson A. Lard III, Loren Kleinpeter, Roy Coleman, Lint LaCour, David LaCour, Robert Ward, Steven Ward and Cole Coleman. She attended LSU and Southeastern University where she was a charter member of the Yellow Jacket Club. She was active in the First United Methodist Church, Good News Sunday school class, care team and Bible study. She was past president of the Ladies of Kappa Sigma, Kappa Kappa Gamma Mothers Club, LeLivre Book Club and Needle Pushers Club. She was in several bridge clubs and volunteered in public schools. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial contributions to First United Methodist Church or Hospice of Baton Rouge.
