She was 58 and a native of Ponchatoula. Viewing at Wilson-Wooddale Funeral Home, 1553 Wooddale Blvd., from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, June 16. Viewing at Sweet Home Baptist Church, 343 W. Buchanan St., from 6 p.m. Friday until religious service at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Steven D. Beckham officiating. Dismissal at First Little Rock Baptist Church, 312 S. 17th St., at 9 a.m. Saturday. Interment in Southern Memorial Gardens. She is survived by her husband, Joe N. Myles; mother, Dorothy S. Cooper, Baton Rouge; stepfather, Moses Cooper, Prairieville; son, Joe N. Myles Jr. and wife Tanger of Hattiesburg, Miss.; godson, Renaldo Mason; five sisters, Nettie Iron Pickens, Oakdale, and Diane Iron Ellis and husband Clarence, Dorothy Iron, Patricia Lynn Iron, and Joyce Iron Cubbins, all of Baton Rouge; three brothers, Willie Iron, Ronald Iron and wife Patsy, and Terry Iron and wife Yvonne; three sisters-in-law, six brothers-in-law, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and two special friends, Emma Booker and Leotha Martin. Preceded in death by her father, Willie Iron Sr. Pallbearers will be family members. She was a native of Independence and a nurse. She is survived by her husband, Henry Myles; two sisters, Linda Printer and Barbara Bell, both of Dayton, Ohio; four brothers, David Davis of Dayton, Ohio, Aurthur Bell of Troutewood, Ohio, Larry Parker of Baton Rouge and Solomon Davis of Avondale. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lucille Davis. Visitation will be Thursday at Martin Chapel AME Church, Independence, from 5 p.m. until the Rev. Thelma Thomas conducts the funeral at 7:30. Dismissal will be Friday at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Durbin Cemetery, Independence.
