A retired jeweler and lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, he passed away at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City. He was 58, born Dec. 31, 1951. Louie, as he was fondly called by his family, is survived by three sisters, Marie Clara Gillespie and husband Mike, and Vikki L. Nacol, all of Baton Rouge, and Carol Hornsby, Hammond; three brothers, Peter Nacol, Portland, Ore., and Fred and Edmund Nacol, both of St. Augustine, Fla.; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends, including Marsha Bates, Shavarsh and Rick McMahon. Preceded in death by his father and mother, Edward L. and Maria Camet Nacol; and two brothers, Forrest J. and Robert "Robbie" Nacol. Special thanks to Sterling Place, Dr. Mary Raven for helping him "move on" to nursing care, his good neighbors at Sharlo Terrace, and Shavarsh Kaltakdjian and Louis' many other jeweler friends.
