She was 88. She was a deputy clerk of court and a longtime employee at the Tangipahoa Voluntary Council on Aging. "Mary Lou's" favorite hobbies were bridge and tennis. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, on Monday, Nov. 12, from 3 p.m. until religious service at 4 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Joe Camilleri. Interment in Mulberry Street Cemetery, Amite. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Nassar Stasney and her husband, Kent, Slidell; son, Dale Nassar, Amite; and two grandchildren, Christy and Brittany Stasney. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Nassar; and parents, Norman and Lillian "Lil" Davis Vernon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tangipahoa Voluntary Council on Aging or St. Helena Catholic Church, Amite.
