She was 91 and a native of Spring Creek. Visitation at Bethel Baptist Church, Kentwood, from 6 p.m. Thursday until religious services at 10 a.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. Blake Shipp. Interment in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Kentwood. Survived by a daughter, Lauree Phillips, Kentwood; five sons, Ivy Ellis Day, Zachary, Joseph Elvis Day, Greensburg, Carl B. Day, Jackson, and Grant S. Day and Lynn Day, both of Kentwood; 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husbands, Ivy Day and Melvin Nation; four sons, Charlie W. Day, Donald Audis Day and infant twins; a sister, Winona C. Eldridge; and a brother, Ellis Cutrer.
