A native of New Orleans and a resident of St. Helena Parish for 15 years, Alma was born Nov. 5, 1924, to the late Henry J. Hoffstadt Sr. and Alma Harrell Hoffstadt. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Hamilton "Mike" Neal Jr.; two daughters, Patricia C. Neal and Erin N. Tamporello; a son, Michael H. Neal; four grandchildren, Anne E. Holley, Michael A. Tamporello, Michelle C. Tamporello and Melissa A. Tamporello; a brother, Henry J. Hoffstadt Jr.; and two sisters, Camille H. Casey and Lynda H. Walker. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Blanche H. Montz and Earllea H. Perez; parents, Henry J. Hoffstadt Sr. and Alma Harrell Hoffstadt. Alma was a teacher in the Archdiocese School System of New Orleans for 15 years and a past president of Charles Carroll Council Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. Alma served as museum director at Beauregard-Keyes House Museum for 21 years. She was a director emeritus since her retirement in 1993. Alma was an active volunteer at Camp Moore Museum in Tangipahoa. For a number of years, she had served as a member of the Board of Camp Moore Historical Association. She was a past president of United Daughters of Confederacy, Camp Moore Chapter 562. Alma attended St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Kentwood. Grady was born on Friday, March 20, 1925 in Jena Louisiana. He was a radio operator on a B24 flying out of Italy in 1942 in the 464 bomber group during WWII, which led him into his work as a supervisory air traffic controller retiring in 1977. Hamilton M. "Mike" Neal, Jr. passed away on August 21, 2013 at 7:59 p.m., in Kentwood at the age of 89 years. Mike was a native of New Orleans, and a resident of St. Helena Parish for the past 25 years. He served his country in the Army during World War II, 1943-1945, the European Theater of Operations. He retired from Bell South Telephone Co. after 42 years of service, retiring as an Engineering Manager. He attended schools in the New Orleans area, including Tulane University. Mike held membership in the "Young Men's Business Club" of New Orleans, Louisiana Engineering Society, the Kiwanis Organization, becoming Lt. Governor of the New Orleans area. For many years, he had been active in the Knights of Columbus organization serving as District Deputy of the New Orleans area. Currently, his membership is with KC Council #10911, Amite, Louisiana. Mike was a weekly volunteer at St. Helena Parish Nursing Home, and had many years as Museum Director and member of the board at the Camp Moore Museum. His memberships also Sons of the Confederate Veterans Camp #1223 and Military Order of the Stars and Bars C.S.S. Arkansas Chapter. He is survived by his daughter, Erin N.
