She was the widow of George Wilburn Nesom of Tickfaw, and was the granddaughter of the Rev. John S. Arbuthnot, the first Methodist minister to serve Hammond. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. John J. Brew of Lincoln, Nebr. and Miss Tomanna Arbuthnot of Alexandria; one brother, S. V. Arbuthnot of Manifest, La.; four daughters, Mrs. D. V. Jenkins of Tickfaw, Mrs. Carlton Faller of Hammond, Miss Lucille Nesom of Tickfaw and Miss Ruth Nesom of Houma; one son, Guy W. Funeral was Sunday at the home, interment in Nesom Cemetery in Pine Grove. Survived by widow, the former Miss Cornelia Arbuthnot; four daughters, Miss Irma, Miss Lucille, Miss Jessie, Miss Ruth; two sons, Norman and Guy Nesom; one sister, Mrs. Shelton Stilley of Independence. Thomas R. Nesom, 78, died at Veteran's Hospital in Alexandria Sunday. Funeral services were held Tuesday with burial in Rose Hill cemetery at Clinton. He is survived by his widow, the former Emma Durham of Clinton; one son, Dr. Rivers Y. Nesom of Hammond; three daughters, Miss Lola Nesom of Baton Rouge, Mrs. C. R.
