JEREMY PAUL "STREETFLY" A fallen hero and loved by many, he died Wednesday, March 1, 2006, at 9 p.m. at Assumption Community Hospital in Napoleonville. Born Oct. 1, 1974, he was 31, a resident and native of Paincourtville, and an eight-year veteran of the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Donaldsonville, on Sunday, March 5, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Monday from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Paincourtville on Monday at noon, conducted by the Rev. Jason Labbé, and his uncle, Deacon Randy Clement. Interment in the church cemetery. Survived by his parents, John and Debbie Newchurch of Paincourtville and Billy and Ann Kirkpatrick of Baton Rouge; sisters and brother-in-law, Paula and Jeff Meyers of Hammond, Nicole Giroir of Klotzville and Ashley Kirkpatrick of Seattle; brothers, David Newchurch of Baton Rouge and Mike Hahn of Paincourtville; paternal grandmother, Thelma "Granny" Newchurch of Paincourtville; maternal grandparents, Gerard and Theresa Clement of White Castle; godchild, Abigail Meyers; nieces, Allie Berteau and Avery Meyers; godmother, Tina Landry of Plattenville; godfather, Tommy Newchurch; numerous cousins; special friend, Julie Acosta; aunt, Marlene "Tee" Newchurch; and pet, Nico. Preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John "Paw Paw" Newchurch Jr.; special great-aunts, Valburge and Mildred Newchurch; and great-uncle, Phillip Newchurch. Jeremy was a special person and everyone who knew him loved him.
