"LEE" A loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, he died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2002, at his residence in Gonzales. He was a native of Hammond. Mr. Niquiporo was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Army Air Corp. Mr. Niquiporo is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Joe L. Sr. and Beth Lavigne Niquiporo of Gonzales and Albert P. and Linnea Nelson Niquiporo, Baton Rouge; a sister, Iris Macaluso, Hammond; three grandchildren, John Allen, Joey Lee Jr. and Jennifer Lynn Niquiporo, Gonzales; two stepgrandchildren, Anthony and Kara Martin, Baton Rouge; and two great-grandchildren, Peyton Elizabeth and Kensey Lee Niquiporo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Ozzie Ware Niquiporo. Visitation will be at Geisler Funeral Home in Hammond, Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m. in the chapel. Entombment in Rose Memorial Mausoleum. Joseph Nestor Niquiporo Sr., 70-years-old of Natalbany died Monday, November 6, 2006, at his residence. He was born August 12, 1936, in New Orleans son of the late Ernest Valentine and Annie Mae Collier Niquiporo. Surviving are his wife, JoAn Toney Niquiporo; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph "Joey" N. and Brenda Ricks Niquiporo Jr.; son, Billy Ray Niquiporo; daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis Niquiporo and Roy Palmer; four grand- children, Justin Roy Palmer, Heather Rae Palmer, Joseph Trey Niquiporo, Chelsey Lynn Niquiporo; great-granddaughter, Eyce Short. He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters, Mary, Lil, Ann and Terry. Friends were received Wednesday, November 8, 2006, at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond from 9:00 a.m. until religious services began at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Services were conducted by Rev. John Palmer. Interment followed in the Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
