She was born on May 21, 1927, in Hammond, daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Buffamanti Notariano. Miss Notariano taught at Holy Ghost Catholic School in Houston, Texas for 13 years and retired from the Tangipahoa Parish school system as a Para Educator after many years service. She loved children dearly and was very fond of animals. She was a long time member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church where she was an active member of the choir. Surviving are her brother, Steve Notariano, sister, Carmella Tallo, 37 beloved nieces and nephews, and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brothers, John, Philip, Sam, Vincent "Charles", and Louis Notariano, sisters, Mary Lacara, Virginia Notariano, and Margaret Guagliardo. Friends will be received on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Holy Ghost Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, on Tuesday at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in the Rose Memorial Park Cemetery in Hammond, Louisiana.
