Clyde Lee O'Brien, 13, son of Alphonse O'Brien, drowned 21 May in Selzer's
creek, two miles east of Ponchatoula.

O'BRIEN, JAMES WILLIE  "J.W."
A resident of Jackson, he died on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008, at Our Lady of
the Lake Regional Medical  Center, Baton Rouge. He was 77 and retired from
the Eastern Louisiana Mental Health System, Jackson, with 27 years of
service. Visitation at Charlet Funeral Home Sept. 17, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Visitation at Second Baptist Church, Jackson, on Thursday from 9 a.m. until
service at 11 a.m., conducted by Dr. Reggie Bridges and Dr. Mack Stewart.
Interment in the church cemetery. Survived by his son, Ricky O' Brien, of
Jackson; daughter-in-law, Mae O'Brien, of Jackson; sister, Imogene
Ridgedell, of North Carolina; brothers, Kenneth O'Brien, of Jackson, and
Alvis O'Brien, of Hammond; and three grandchildren, James Jarreau Jr.,
Britanny O'Brien and Kurtis O'Brien. Preceded in death by his wife, Frankie
O'Brien; daughter, Lynn O'Brien Jarreau; son-in-law, James Jarreau; and
three brothers, Johnnie O'Brien, Ray O'Brien and Werlein O'Brien.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Rouse, Don McKey, Noel Gilmore, Barry Lea, Keith
Mills and Mark Lacy. Honorary pallbearer is Wayne O'Brien. He was a member

O'BRIEN, ROBERT, JR.
Robert "Butch" O'Brien, Jr., age 50, a resident of Hammond and a native of
New Orleans, Butch died as a result of an automobile accident in Slidell on
Sunday, January 06, 2008.  He is survived by his fiancé, Sheila Rainey
Genusa, two daughters, Stephanie and Stacey O'Brien, mother and step-
father, Lucille and Jack Triana; siblings, Carolyn Dente and Charles
Williams; step siblings, Jacklyn Lavott, Lana Ziess and Mark Triana, three
grandchildren and one special grandson, Robert O'Brien-Triana.  He was
preceded in death by his father, Robert, Sr. and a granddaughter, Sydney
Murray.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the
funeral services from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home of
Hammond, Wednesday, January 9th at 11:00 a.m.  The family requests that
visiting hours be observed at the funeral home chapel Tuesday from 
6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a vigil at 7:00 p.m. conducted by Deacon Nat
Garofalo.  Visitation will continue on Wednesday beginning at 9:00 a.m.
until the service time.  Father Cayet Mangiaracina will conduct the
services and interment will follow in Rose Memorial Cemetery of Hammond.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Robert's
mother to help pay for the funeral expenses.  Condolences and other

O'BRIEN, SHAWN MARIE PATECEK
Maurepas - Shawn Marie Patecek O'Brien, 32, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000. 
She was a native of New Orleans. Survivors include her husband, Michael
Shawn O'Brien; children, Brittany Marie and Michael Patrick O'Brien;
parents, Kathleen Farrae Eldridge and Don E. Patecek; and two brothers, Don
E. Jr. and Louis G. Patecek. Visitation will be at Mothe Funeral Home,
Harvey, tonight from 6 to 10 and Tuesday from 7:30 a.m. until the funeral
at 11. Burial will be in Westlawn South Cemetery, Gretna.
