OCKERT, LONNIE GAIL
(August 5, 1941 - May 30, 2013)
Lonnie Gail Ockert, age 71, a native of Westwego and resident of 
Ponchatoula, Lonnie joined her husband on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at her 
residence. Lonnie was retired from the Jefferson Parish SherriffÕs Office, 
after 31 years of dedicated service. She was a member of the Fraternal
Order of Police and enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles. Lonnie 
leaves behind her children, Gene Gerald Ockert and Gerri Frances Ockert, 
along with her grandchildren, Justin Gerard Ockert, Seth Mikel Ockert, 
Austin Joseph Ockert, John "JJ" Joseph O'donahue, Lynn Frances O'donahue. 
She is also survived by her brother, Arthur Byrd. Preceding Lonnie in death 
were her husband, Russell Ockert; parents, Austin and Gail LaBruyere Byrd.
There will be no services held. Condolences and other information are
