He was 67 and a native of New Orleans. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday. Visitation in the funeral home chapel from 8 a.m. until services at 10 a.m. Friday. Interment in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Survived by his wife, Pauline Reno O'Connor, Ponchatoula; a daughter, Anne Pier, Ponchatoula; a son, Alvin "Chuck" O'Connor Jr., Ponchatoula; four grandchildren, Caitlin, Colby and Chuck O'Connor and Bryar Pier; a sister, Audrey Otillio, Chalmette; and a brother, Walter "Pottie" O'Connor, Metairie. Preceded in death by parents, Walter and Florence Simond O'Connor; and a brother, Thomas O'Connor.
