A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and sister, she was born Jan. 5, 1935, to the late Raiford Lawrence and Doris Elaine Bass Wells. She was the first sibling born of this union. She will be remembered for her unconditional love and faithfulness to her family and friends. We were truly blessed to have been a part of her life and she will surely be missed by all. Former owner/manager of Professional Personnel with 30 years of service, she died Monday, Oct. 2, 2006, at her home in Baker after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was 71 and a native of Amite County, Miss. Visiting at Charlet Funeral Home Inc., Zachary, was on Tuesday, Oct. 3, from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Visiting at Foster Road Baptist Church is on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Huey Moak. Burial in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker. She is survived by a son, Billy M. "Scooter" Boyd and his wife, Becky, Denham Springs; sister, Ramona "Toni" Ford and her husband, Charles "Chris," Baker; two brothers, Harold R. Wells and his wife, Carolyn, Port Barre, and Bobby E. Wells and his wife, L.S., of Baker; seven grandchildren, Jeremy L. Boyd, Billy Ryan Boyd, Brent M. Boyd, Lori M. Bergeron, Autumn Marie Boyd, Gregory W. Boyd and Mitchell A. Boyd; six great-grandchildren, Brayden J. Boyd, Brailyn M. Bergeron, Bryce P. Boyd, Anna-Claire Boyd, Reece E. Boyd and Benjamin R. Boyd; three nephews, six nieces and six stepchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Billy F. Boyd; two sons, Larry M. Boyd and Gregory W. Boyd; second husband, Stephen "Ozzie" Olcsvary; and her parents. Pallbearers will be Billy Ryan Boyd, Brent M. Boyd, Gregory W. Boyd, Mitchell A. Boyd, Shannon Ford, Robby E. Wells, Jeremy L. Boyd and Clark David Wells. She had a love for cooking which she shared with many. Special thanks to Dr. Renee Levine, Dr. John Olson and Dr. Robert Elliott and their staffs.
