G. Tickfaw - A.G. Oller, 89, died Monday, Aug. 19, 2002, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. He was a retired farmer and deacon at Antioch Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Lois Benton Oller of Tickfaw; three sons, Bobbie Ray, Jay Tracey and A.J. Oller Jr., all of Tickfaw; three daughters, Fay Glascock of Albany, Barbara Ann Wax and Betty Jo Sibley, both of Tickfaw; one sister, Adel Benton of Tickfaw; 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.H. and Dovie Ebert Oller; one brother, Walter Oller; two sisters, Birdie Clement and Ruby Morgan. Visitation will be Tuesday at Antioch Baptist Church, Tickfaw, from 6 to 11 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. until the funeral at 11. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, is in charge. *************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Hammond Daily Star: 4/3/2009 OLLER, LOIS BENTON Lois Benton Oller 91 years of age, went home to be with the Lord on April 2, 2009, at 9:00 a.m. Lois was a lifelong resident of Tickfaw, LA. She was born May 26, 1917. Lois was a member of Antioch Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 75 years. She was a devoted wife to A.G. Oller for 65 years, in which time they dairy farmed and raised a beautiful family. Their lives were devoted to the love of God, family and friends. Lois is survived by her six children and their spouses. Bobby Oller and his wife Betty, Fay Glascock and husband Sonny, Jay Oller and wife Sandra, Barbara Ann Wax and husband Norman, Betty Jo Sibley and husband Nolan, A.G. Oller and wife Gayle. She was blessed with 18 grandchildren, 35 great- grandchildren, 16 great-great- grandchildren. With a total of 102 immediate family members. One sister-in-law Adell Oller Benton. She is preceded in death by husband A.G. Oller Sr., parents Jim and Ida Benton; brothers Edward Benton and J.D. Benton; sisters Gladys Miley and Bessie Sistrunk. Friends will be received Friday evening, April 3rd, at Antioch Baptist Church in Tickfaw, LA from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.and on Saturday morning, April 4th, beginning 8:00 a.m. Services will be held in Antioch Baptist Church Chapel, April 4th, at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Charles Reitz and Rev. Charles Bigner will officiate the services. Interment will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Tickfaw, LA.
