He was born June 12, 1947, in Independence, La. He was retired Fire Fighter of Station 11 in Baton Rouge, for over 30 years. Surviving are his wife of 23 years Donna Wilson Overland, daughters Ashley and husband Dirty Morse, Courtney Annina and James Vining and Tammy Overland Miller. One son Clint and wife Pam Annina. Seven Grandchildren, Hunter and Gage Morse, Slade Vining, Brenton Hano, Brenna Miller, Michael and wife Jenny Leavell, Christopher Leavell, Devin and wife Katie McMorris. Three Great Grandchildren, Molly and Lilly McMorris and Natalie Leavell. Also survived by one brother, Derek Overland Sr. and wife Brenda, one sister Iris and husband Bo Sanders. Two nephews Derek Jr. and wife Lori Overland and Brad Miles and great niece Kelsey Overland. He is preceded in death by his parents Pate and Iris Minney Overland and nephew Pryce Overland. He has touched many lives and will be greatly missed by so many. A "Celebration of Life" will be held Sunday April 22, 2012, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort 46049 La. 445 Robert, La. in the Yogi Dome. She was a resident of Natalbany-Tickfaw area and a member of Natalbany Baptist Church. Patsy was employed for several years with Hammond Walmart. She is survived by her loving husband, Billy David Overland; two cherished daughters, Victoria "Vickie" Morgan Richards and her husband, Michael; Tracey Morgan Sadaway and her husband, Phillip, Jr. and one adoring son, Jason Todd Morgan. She is also survived by her precious mother, Ruth Addison; one brother, Tommy Patterson and his wife, Hortence "Hank"; two half-brothers, David and Dana Patterson. Patsy leaves behind five affectionate grandchildren, Brooke, Shelby, Beau, Morgan and Sylvia.
