CLINTON, Miss. - Addison D. Owings, 94, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2002, at Central Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson, Miss. He was a native of Bigbee, Miss. He is survived by a son, A.D. Owings of Loranger; a daughter, Elizabeth O. Maynard Miller of Cashiers, N.C.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Steadman; a daughter, Nancy Owings Smith Jones; and two sisters, Rowena Owings Cagle and Fannie Ozell Owings. Visitation will be Saturday at Mt. Salus Presbyterian Church, Clinton, Miss., from 10 a.m. until the funeral at noon. Burial will be in Terry Cemetery, Terry, Miss. Donations may be made to any of the following: Mt. Brian Brooks officiating. The committal ceremony will be held in the Garden Court of Welch Funeral Home. Interment will be at Forest Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Owings passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 in Longview. Mrs. Owings was born July 10, 1932 in Hammond, Louisiana, to Ralph Frazier and Kathleen Mary Walker Grace. Coming from Loranger, Louisiana, she has been a resident of Longview since 2002. She was a member at Celebration Fellowship Church in Louisiana, and later a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church in Longview. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Addison Owings, in October 2008. Survivors include her son, Allen Owings of Hammond, Louisiana; son and daughter-in- law, Don F. and Donna Owings; and grandchildren, Kayla and Kelli Owings, all of Longview, Texas; and numerous cousins.
