He was 69 and a native of Rockford, Ill. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 8 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Friday. Religious services at Holy Ghost Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Friday, conducted by a Dominican priest. Entombment in Rose Memorial Mausoleum. Survived by his wife, Anna Mae Lewis Pace, Baton Rouge; two daughters, Madonna Unlu, Houston, and Susie Covey, Clearlake, Ill.; a son, Sebastian Pace, Hammond; eight grandchildren and three great-grand- children; an aunt, Jenny Pace; and an uncle, Vincent Pace. Bluff Creek - Lee S. Pace, 82, died Friday, Aug. 18, 2000, at Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center. He was the retired owner of Pace's Heating and Air Conditioning, a native of Deerford, a U.S. Army veteran, a graduate of Baton Rouge Vo-Tech School and past deacon of Bluff Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Audrey T. Thompson Pace, Bluff Creek; four daughters, Audrey Suir, Galvez, Ethel Pace Landry, Prairieville, Mary Elizabeth Guidry, Baton Rouge, Evelyn Craig, French Settlement; son, Charlie Richard "Joe" Pace, Clinton; four sisters, Maude Gayle, Bluff Creek, Emma Payne, Baton Rouge, Elmer Erwin, Watson, Christine Shelton, Amite; four brothers, Walter, Ernest "Bob," Ray and Gordon Pace, all of Bluff Creek; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and a great- great-grandchild. The Rev. Byron Comish conducted the funeral this morning at Bluff Creek Baptist Church, Bluff Creek, and burial was in Pace Family Cemetery.
