He was born on Sunday, April 4, 1943, in Jackson, Michigan son of the late George and Irene Drude Parmley. He was a retired Tower Manager at Louis Armstrong International Airport. Surviving are his wife of 45 years Peggy Smoot Parmley; daughter & son-in-law, Sandra & Webster Neuman; daughter Sarah Parmley and her friend Robert Drake; son Philip Parmley and his friend Colleen Suchonic; son & daughter-in-law, Michael & Amy Parmley; 7 grandchildren Kalvin Ennis, Kendrick, Malik & Tyrick Neuman, Leah Parmley, Kaylee Bennett & Michael Parmley Jr.; brother George Parmley. He is preceded in death by 3 brothers Bobby, Ralph & David Parmley. Friends will be received Sunday, June 12, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 13, 2011 at Harry McKneely & Son in Hammond with Bro. Mitch Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Gardens Cemetery.
