PARNELL, ESSIE MAE BENNETT
A resident of Roseland, died at 7:14 a.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at her 
residence in Roseland. She was born August 22, 1953 in Independence and was 
59 years of age. Survived by 2 sons, Andy Parnell, Jr. and Gail Slaven, 
Roseland, and Otis Parnell and Jennifer Parnell, Franklinton; sisters and 
brothers, Janice Lee Pence, James Lee Bennett, Thomas Juan Bennett, 
Christine Allen, Rose Mary Parnell and Jennell Griffith; 5 grandchildren, 
Marshall Tyler Parnell, Alyssa Paige Parnell, Brianne Nicole Parnell, 
Austin Lee Parnell, and Preston Lee Parnell. Preceded in death by, husband, 
Andy Parnell, Sr.; parents, Thomas J. And Verlis Howell Bennett; sisters, 
Maxine Soley, Eunice Martin and Marie Bennett; brother, Jack W. Bennett. 
Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 9 a.m. until religious 
services at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2013. Services conducted by Rev.
