A resident of Amite, she died at 7:45 p.m. Friday, April 9, 1999, at her home. She was 93 and a native of Lake Providence. Kelly R. Parrino, 89, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013. Native of Independence, LA and resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Kelly was a loving husband, father, and friend to many. He was a United States Army Veteran of WWII. Kelly spent much of his life as a contractor and entrepreneur. He owned KR Parrino Builder for twenty years and co-owned Parrino Enterprises for ten years. His career was also a passion of his. He was a longtime member of the Baton Rouge Carpenters Local Union #1098. Kelly is survived by his son, Anthony Bert Parrino. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lura Higginbotham Parrino; parents, Ben and Rosa Parrino; and sisters, Annie Parrino Whittle and Virginia Parrino Portera. She has joined her precious husband, John, and will celebrate Christmas in heaven. She was 66, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Independence. Her family, John Stanley "Stan" Parrino, Perry Parrino and wife Melissa, Craig Parrino and wife Sue, Mark Parrino, and Tami Parrino Passman and husband Dennis, will all miss her terribly. Her grandchildren, Meghan, Katie, John, Anthony, Stephen, Lauren, Victoria and Emily will always remember Honey's strong sense of family and the special Sunday dinners that brought them all together. Nora is preceded in death by her husband John; father, Santo Bentivegna; and brother, Pete Bentivegna.
