Born July 12, 1961, she was a resident of Springfield and an active member of Blood River Church of God. Joy had a beautiful voice and sang often for the Lord. She obtained two degrees from Southeastern Louisiana University and was employed as an active treatment specialist with North Lake Support Service Center. Joy will be sadly missed by her family, many nieces and nephews, friends and church members. Joy is survived by her loving husband, William Vernon Patterson, of Springfield; dedicated children, Joshua W. Patterson and his wife, Brandi, of Springfield and Elaina E.
