He was 64, a native and resident of Hammond. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean conflict. Visiting at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, with a vigil service at 7 p.m. Visiting at the funeral home, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Ghost Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Monday, conducted by a Dominican priest. Interment in Colonial Cemetery. Survived by wife, Catherine Sampere Pecararo, Hammond; a daughter, Andrea P. Smith, Hammond; a son, Thomas Roy Pecararo, Hammond; a sister, Jacqueline Marie Pecararo, Hammond; a brother, Joseph Pecararo, Grand Prairie, Texas; and two grand- children, Jeffrey Smith and Kristen Pecararo, both of Hammond. Preceded in death by parents, Thomas and Lucille Magro Pecararo. He was a member of St. Joseph Society, Independence. *************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Hammond Daily Star on: 3/28/2007 PECARARO, SALLY ANN Miss Sally Ann Pecararo, 56 years old of Tickfaw, died Monday, March 26, 2007 in North Oaks Medical Center. She was born Friday, March 2, 1951 in Independence, daughter of the late Vincent Salvadore and Angelina Mannino Pecararo. Surviving are her two sisters and brothers-in-law, Tena P. and Vincent Pisciotta, Virginia P. and Joseph Bravata; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thursday, March 29, 2007 from 9:00 am until 10:30 am at Harry McKneely and Son in Hammond. Services will be held at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church on Thursday, March 29, 2007 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in the Colonial Cemetery.
