She was a lifelong resident of Hammond. Mrs. Pellichino was retired from Tangi Meat Packers and was one of the longest living Little Italy Road residents. She was a devoted homemaker and beloved mother of five children. Surviving are a son, Joe Pete Pellichino and his wife, Shirley G. Pellichino; a son, Russell L. Pellichino and his wife, Betty Pellichino; a daughter, Jo Ann Pellichino Gaspard and her husband, E.J. Gaspard Jr.; a son, Donald J. Pellichino and his wife, Lelia M. Pellichino, who was indeed like a daughter; a son, Michael D. Pellichino; and a nephew, Joe F. "Bo" Pellichino, who was as close as a son. Jennie was grandmother to six unique grandchildren, Rex, Paige, Randy, Brad, Amy and Matthew; and great-grandmother to nine exceptional great-grandchildren. She leaves behind three sisters, Mary Skifano, Margaret Pellichino and her husband, Frank Pellichino, and Angie Lamonica; brother, Sam Penzato; and two sisters-in-law, Fannie and Josie Penzato. To say she was sweet doesn't come close to describing her. She was an exceptional aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Pellichino; three brothers, Nobie, Tony and Joe Penzato; and her parents, Rosario and Josephine Domiano Penzato. She enjoyed your presence at her table for coffee and conversation. She was dedicated to and loved her family. Friends will be received at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Hammond on Monday, June 29, from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Cayet Mangiaracina, O.P. officiating.
