He was a native of Maurepas and a U.S. Army veteran. Survivors include a daughter, Jennifer Lealla Penalber Hill, St. Amant; a son, Kenith Lawson Penalber, Maurepas; four brothers, Elwood and Rudolf Penalber, both of Maurepas, Brince Penalber, Port Vincent, and Emmanuel Penalber, Springfield; a sister, Patsy Kennedy, Springfield; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Marie Kemp Penalber, and four brothers, Rodney, Felman, Denver and Bush Jr. Penalber. Visitation will be at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, Tuesday from 6 until 10 p.m. and Wednesday at Maurepas Baptist Church from 9 a.m. until the funeral at 10:30. The Rev. Glynn Reine will conduct the service, and burial will be in Maurepas Cemetery. ***************************************************************************
