He was 97, born Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1909, in Ponchatoula. He spent all of his life farming in Ponchatoula. He was drafted into the U.S. Army during World War II at the age of 32. He served for more than three years, mostly in Iceland, as a surgical technician. He was in charge of a surgical ward serving an average of 25 patients who were severely wounded. He also served for six months in the military police in Florida. When discharged in October 1945, he returned home to Ponchatoula and resumed farming. Homer, who never married, was preceded in death by his parents, Morris John and Annie Elizabeth Hicks Perrin; two sisters, Jennie Amanda Perrin Newman and Annie Frances Perrin Fendlason; and three brothers, William Edwin, Jules Emmett and Doyace Leron Perrin. He is survived by two sisters, Alice Elizabeth Perrin Hutchinson of Springfield, and Eunice Lanell Perrin Witherspoon of San Mateo, Calif.; a brother, Paul Kevlin Perrin of Santa Barbara, Calif.; and countless loving nieces and nephews. He was 78. Mr. Perrin was born on July 22, 1929, in Ponchatoula, La., where he grew up. He spent most of his career as a store manager for Oilwell Supply Co., a division of U.S. Steel, in New Orleans and Shreveport. Prior to his business career he served in the Navy for a year before his fatherŐs death brought him back to the care of his mother and the family business. In 1951, he and his wife, Delores Lauree Stanchfield, were married. She died in 1998. Mr. Perrin is survived by his daughter, Janice Perrin McKee of Berne, Ind., and his son, Keith A. Perrin of The Woodlands, Texas; their spouses, David McKee and Cindy Bruce; his sister, Edna Marie Perrin; grandchildren, Adryan Marc McKee (and spouse, Camellia Cosgray), Meaghan Shaw McKee, Patrick Roane McKee and John Donald McKee. Paul graduated from Ponchatoula High School Class of 1939.During World War II he was a Master Staff Sergeant in the Marine Corps Reservists. He married Hazel Louise Ticker at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in New Orleans, LA on April 19, 1945. Since August 1947, they resided in Santa Barbara, CA. Paul worked for Bekins Moving and Storage in Santa Barbara for 41 yrs. and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows and San Roque Catholic Churches. Paul was in the Knights of Columbus. His hobbies were watching the Anaheim Angels and doing puzzles and yard work. After retirement he started Santa Barbara File Storage with two of his children, Paula and Michael. His loving wife, Hazel Ticker Perrin, his loving parents, Morris J. Perrin and Annie E. Hicks Perrin, his siblings, Bill, Jenny, Homer, Frances, Emmett, and Doyace, and his daughter-in-law, Toni, precedes Paul in death. He is survived by his four children, Paula, Michael, Maggi, B. Mr. Perrin was born December 26, 1927 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Tom & Clara (Howes) Perrin. He moved from Crook, Colorado and has lived in the Hillrose area for 16 years. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Fort Morgan and was very active in door to door witnessing. Mr. Perrin was a beekeeper for over 50 years and he enjoyed beekeeping.
