Killeen, Texas - Percy J. Persick, 70, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000, at Temple Hospital, Killeen. He was a native of Holden and was a retired Fort Hood firefighter with 20 years of service. He had also retired from the U.S. Army after 23 years of service. Survivors include four sons, Wayne J. Persick, Lingleville, Texas, Robert W. Persick, Elkridge, Md., and Gary W. and Joseph Percy Persick, both of Killeen; two daughters, Ginnie Mize, Yorktown, Va., and Debbie Freeman, Killeen; two brothers, Clifton Persick, Baton Rouge, and Willie Persick, Holden; and a sister, Ruby LeBlanc, Albany; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. His wife, Dorothy Persick, preceded him in death. Visitation will be at Crawford-Bowers Chapel, Killeen, tonight from 6 to 9. The Rev. Bob Miller will conduct the funeral Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial with full military honors will be in Killeen Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. *************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Hammond Daily Star on: 4/17/2005 PERSICK, WILLIE Holden -- Willie Persick, 82, a native and resident of Holden, died Saturday, April 16, 2005, at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Albany. His sister, Ruby LeBlanc, resides in Albany. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Nettie Owens Persick; six brothers, Alton, Walter, Norwood, Clifton, Carter and Percy Persick; four sisters, Viola Lockhart, Doris Norred, Jeannette Norred and Margie Johnson. Visitation will be today from 6 until 9 p.m. at Geisler Funeral Home in Albany,and again on Monday at 10 a.m. until the funeral at noon. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Albany. ***************************************************************************
