PETTITTE, EDWARD EUGENE "ED" 
A retired foreman for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and
Development and a resident of Gonzales, he died at 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday,
Sept. 16, 2008, at his home. He was 70, a U.S. Navy veteran and a native of
Hammond. A memorial service will be held at a later date. He is survived by
his wife, Donna Strahan Pettitte; a daughter, Karen Clement and husband
Chad, of Prairieville; son, Kenneth Pettitte and wife Rachel, of Austin,
Texas; sister, Jean Weingartner and husband Jerry, of Houston; two
brothers, Tommy and wife Joann Pettitte, of Deer Park, Texas, and Al
Pettitte, of Houston; and four grandchildren, Anthony Pettitte, Brittney
and Breanna Clement and Sophie Pettitte. He was preceded in death by his
parents, Eure and Emma Pettitte. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made
to the American Diabetes Association. Resthaven Funeral Home is in charge
