Johnson. Interment was in Hoffman Cemetery with the Brown Funeral Home in charge. He was a veteran of World War 2. He is survived by his wife, the former Freda Murphy; his stepfather and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Vernie C. Johnson of Hammond; two sisters, Miss Christine Phares and Mrs. Carl Addison of New Orleans; two brothers, Lonzo of Hammond and Charley of New Orleans; four stepbrothers, George of Hammond, Floyd of Baton Rouge, V. C. and Milton Gates Johnson, now in the service; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Hall of Tangipahoa; and a host of aunts, uncles and other relatives. ***************************************************************************
