PHELPS, DANIEL TYLER
A student at Southeastern Louisiana University and a resident and native of
Hammond, he died Monday, Oct. 13, 2003, at his home. He was 20. Visiting at
Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003,
from 2 p.m. until religious service at 4 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Greg
Griffin. Interment in Sam Arnold Cemetery, Bedico. Survived by parents,
Claud and Jill Leber Phelps Jr., Hammond, and Dr. Samuel Richard and
Melissa Arnold Staggers, Mandeville; and grandparents, Claud and Sybil Bush
Phelps, Ponchatoula, and Lee and Anna Daniel Arnold, Bedico. He was a 
graduate of Hammond High School, member of Theta Xi fraternity, recipient
of a TOPS scholarship and was on the Dean's List at SLU.
