PIATT, HAZEL MARIE
Hazel Piatt, age 77, a native of Des Allemands and resident of Albany, 
passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2011. She was a member of WCG church 
in Tickfaw.  Ms. Piatt leaves behind her husband, George Piatt; children, 
Linda Bourgeois and husband Joe, Nathan Naquin and wife Martine, Keith 
Naquin, Jay Naquin and wife Marcy; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-
grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Catherine Rome, Effie 
Sampey, Shirley Margarejo, Antoine Dufrene Jr., and Alcide Dufrene, along
with numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her 
parents, Antoine and Esther Dufrene, and grandson, David Ledet.  Relatives 
and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services from 
the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home on Sunday, January 9, 2011 
at 10:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. The service will be 
conducted by Rev. Mike Horchak and interment will follow in Bourgeois 
Cemetery in Albany.  Memorial donations may be made to Brandon G. Thompson 
Funeral Home.  Condolences and other information are available online at
