She was 79. Visiting at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, with vigil prayer services at 7 p.m. Visiting at the funeral home, 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Friday. Religious services at Holy Ghost Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Friday, conducted by a Dominican priest. Entombment in Rose Memorial Mausoleum. Survived by husband of 58 years, Joe Piediscalzo Jr., Hammond; a son, Joseph I. Piediscalzo III, Hammond; a daughter, Frances Piediscalzo Varisco, Hammond; two brothers, Vincent and Sam DiCarlo, both of Braithwaite; three sisters, Lilly Orfanello, Chalmette, Serephine Cannizaro, Slidell, and Lena Grob, Ponchatoula; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
