PIEDISCALZO, ANNA DiCARLO
A resident and native of Hammond, she died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 1997, at her
residence. She was 79. Visiting at  Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home,
Hammond, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, with vigil prayer services at 7 p.m.
Visiting at the funeral home, 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Friday. Religious
services at Holy Ghost Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Friday, conducted by a
Dominican priest. Entombment in Rose Memorial Mausoleum. Survived by
husband of 58 years, Joe Piediscalzo Jr., Hammond; a son, Joseph I.
Piediscalzo III, Hammond; a daughter, Frances Piediscalzo Varisco, Hammond;
two brothers, Vincent and Sam DiCarlo, both of Braithwaite; three sisters,
Lilly Orfanello, Chalmette, Serephine Cannizaro, Slidell, and Lena Grob, 
Ponchatoula; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Preceded in
death by parents, Jake and Josephine Ganci DiCarlo; and a sister, Marie
Meyers.

PIEDISCALZO, JOSEPH, JR. "JOE"
A native and resident of Hammond, he died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2000, at North
Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. He was 86. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son
Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, with vigil prayer
service at 7 p.m. Visitation at the funeral home from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.
Saturday. Religious services at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Hammond, at 
9 a.m. Saturday, conducted by a Dominican priest. Entombment in Rose
Memorial Mausoleum, Hammond. Survived by a son, Joseph I. Piediscalzo III;
a daughter, Frances P. Varisco; and a brother, Johnny Piediscalzo, all of
Hammond; three sisters, Josie Graziano, Hammond, Mary Cullota, Metairie,
and Mary Ann Coates, Pumpkin Center; five grandchildren; and 10 great-
grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Anna DiCarlo Piediscalzo;
four brothers, Chris, Frank, Sam and Philip Piediscalzo; and parents,
Joseph and Frances C. Piediscalzo.
