He was born on December 4, 1931, in Maurepas, son of the late Joe and Odessa Sanchez Pinion. He was a Ponchatoula High School graduate, a U S Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict, and was retired from Kaiser Aluminum, Chalmette. Mr. Pinion was a former resident of St. Bernard Parish prior to hurricane Katrina. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Jean Kupper Pinion, daughter and son- in-law, Debbie and Tony Luparello, son and daughter-in-law, Durald Jr. and Cathy Pinion, daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Al Massey, brother, Roger Pinion, grandchildren, Kristy Bridges, Tony Luparello, Stephen Pinion, and Michael and Daniel Massey, and 2 great-granddaughters, Kaylin and Lola. Roger was a avid outdoorsman and a veteran of the United States Navy, serving in the Korean War. He was also the past Louisiana State Commander of the Local American Legion. Roger was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather. He will be dearly missed by all family and friends.
