PIPPINS, CECIL ROY
A resident of Zachary and a native of Hammond, he died Thursday, Dec. 4,
2008, at his home after a lengthy illness. He was 80 and retired from
Jack's Cookie Corp. Visiting at Charlet Funeral Home Inc. in Zachary on
Saturday, Dec. 6, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral
home on Sunday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Monday from 9 a.m. until
service at 11 a.m., conducted by Dr. Reggie Bridges and Dr. Brythel H.
Brantley. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Baton Rouge. He is
survived by his son, Michael Pippins, Covington, Ga.; a sister, Rita
Kinchen, Baton Rouge; a brother, Eugene Pippins, Baton Rouge; three
grandchildren, Brandy Pippins, Robert Pippins and Courtney Pippins; and
three great-grandchildren, Josh Pippins, Morgan Cage and Luke Pippins. He
was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Betty Ballard Pippins;
parents; and sister, Irma Matthews. Pallbearers will be Robert Pippins,
Josh Pippins, Gordon Kinchen, Randall Pippins, Louis Kelly Jr. and Lawrence
