Alexandria - Gertrude L. Plunkett, 97, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2003, at Regency House. She was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Hammond. She is survived by one brother, George Stafford Lawrence of Alexandria; and one sister, Julia Lawrence of Alexandria. She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Plumkett; and one daughter, Mary Ann Plunkett. Services will be Friday at St. Rita Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Ronald Hope will officiate. A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. in Rose Memorial Cemetery, Hammond.
